Cross-sectoral professional competence must be proven by any person wishing to exercise, for third parties, one or more of the following activities:

  • the repair and maintenance for third parties of the mechanical, electrical and electronic components of motor vehicles, motorcycles, 3 or 4-wheel motor vehicles or mopeds:
  • the sale to end users of used motor vehicles:
  • the repair or modification of the bodywork of motor vehicles, with the exception of work using special techniques intended only for embellishment.

Sectoral professional occupations refer to specific professional knowledge about:

Bicycles:

The sale of bicycles to users or the repair of bicycles for third parties.

Motor vehicles with a maximum mass of up to 3.5 tonnes:

The repair and maintenance for third parties of the mechanical, electrical and electronic components of motor vehicles, motorcycles, 3 or 4-wheel motor vehicles or mopeds with a maximum mass of up to 3.5 tonnes.

Motor vehicles with a maximum mass of over 3.5 tonnes:

You can prove professional knowledge with a diploma or practical experience. More specifically, this is 5 years as a secondary activity or part-time, or 3 years as a principal activity or full-time, in the last 15 years.
